granite
bay, california
One of the more upscale communities in the Sacramento area, Granite Bay is a beautiful area surrounded by oak trees and neighboring
Folsom
Lake. This community in Placer County was once called Granite Bar; named for the large amounts of granite that were quarried from the area. It was among the first areas settled in the gold rush.
Today, this community is known for its large, open spaces, horse trails, and upscale housing. While most of the housing in this area is custom-built, there are several tract-homes as well.
Though shopping is scarce in this community itself, residents can easily travel to neighboring Folsom or Roseville for ample shopping centers and malls.
Granite Bay is served by the Eureka Union School District which is well-known as a top school district in the greater Sacramento area.
