Lincoln is home to one of the areas finest championship golf courses, Twelve Bridges. Despite rapid growth in this area, residents here still enjoy the small town atmosphere of Lincoln.
Located off of HWY 65 just north of Rocklin, Lincoln is a popular location for people who commute to Marysville as well as those who commute to Sacramento.
Growth is not expected to slow in this area anytime soon. In fact, many predict it to be the next biggest growth areas in the greater Sacramento area. An extension campus for Sierra college is proposed in this area as is a private University. More golf courses are also proposed as are more housing subdivisions.
The new Thunder Valley Indian Casino in Lincoln is among Lincoln’s biggest attractions as it offers five star dining, hotel accommodations, as well as various gambling facilities.
Del Webb’s Lincoln Hills development is an enormous and prestigious senior community in this area, but the area is not limited to senior housing. Many families have moved into the area to occupy the numerous high-quality, moderately-priced homes. Rental property in the area is limited, but includes apartment and single-family homes from moderate the high price ranges.
Lincoln has been a farming, mining and manufacturing community for 120 years. Gladding, McBean & Company pottery has provided employment since the 1970's. Lincoln's famous "Feats of Clay" art show and clay festival is held at the Gladding McBean every year.
Lincoln is served by the Western Placer Unified School District.
